Ground-Up St. Simons Landscaping Branding for a Growing Crew
The brief:
Livco Builds needed St. Simons landscaping branding from scratch. They design and build dream yards across St. Simons Island. When they came to us, they had no identity to work from. So everything started at zero: no logo, no colors, no signage. Meanwhile, a growing crew needs to look legitimate on every job site. Trade work also runs on referrals and curb appeal. In addition, an unbranded truck and a blank yard sign leave money on the table. Ultimately, they needed a look that worked on paper, on a yard sign, and on a shirt.
What we did:
We built the whole identity from the ground up. First, we designed a logo that holds up small on a card and large on a sign. Then we built the visual language around it, colors, type, and the rules that keep them consistent. The palette also had to hold up outdoors, in sun and in dirt. Next came stationery and business cards that make the crew look established. We designed yard signs that announce each project as it goes in. In effect, every finished yard advertises the next one. On top of that, we put the team in branded shirts and hats. Of course, you worked directly with the designer the whole way.
The result:
Livco Builds now has St. Simons landscaping branding that matches the work. The logo, the signs, and the shirts all tell one story. As a result, they look established on every street they work on. In short, the crew looks the part before they say a word. More importantly, we right-sized the brand to what a growing crew actually needed. In the long run, it has room to grow with them.
